Paula Neary Joins Ribbonfish As New CEO
We’re over-the-moon to announce that Paula Neary has joined Ribbonfish as the new company CEO.
As the former Director of Business Systems at Springer Nature, Paula brings significant experience, knowledge, and skill to the leadership team. She starts this month, and will be representing Ribbonfish at the 2017 London Book Fair between 13 – 16 March.
“It’s a thrill to join Ribbonfish. Swapping a role in a large publishing house for one in small, nimble organisation is both refreshing and challenging. I am really looking forward to expanding our consultancy services and developing our product roadmap with the aim of creating an industry leading product suite.”
A word from Marc Defosse
Our Founder and Managing Director, Marc Defosse, penned this update on LinkedIn Pulse:
“I am super excited to let you know that Paula Neary, former Business Systems Director at Springer Nature, has decided to join “The Fish”.
Paula brings a wealth of experience having worked for major publishers (Random House now Penguin Random, Pearson Education, Springer Nature) and been instrumental in turning “2 blokes in a garage” into a market leader in trade publishing systems.
Having Paula at Ribbonfish is a major “catch” and a statement of intent.
As of today, Paula is Ribbonfish’s new CEO. And these are very exciting times indeed.
I will transition all my duties – especially the ones I was meant to have fulfilled but never did – in the coming weeks.
Her goal will be to improve the reach of Ribbonfish both in consultancy and product delivery. To paraphrase James T. Kirk “to bring us to new frontiers, to boldly go where no woman has ever led us to before”.
As for me, I will sit back, drink coffee, eat baguettes and frog legs, wear my beret and… argue. I’ve heard that’s what French do best, and it’s long overdue I reconnect with the spirit of my ancestors ?
Jokes aside, I will continue to be dedicated to Ribbonfish and Paula and I will discuss where I best fit in the future.
Whether you’re using our services or about to, whether you know her personally or not… Please join me in welcoming Paula.
No matter what, she will definitely change the face of Ribbonfish.”
